Sheet, clay or overnight — each mask type does a different job. Here's when to reach for which.
A face mask is a concentrated boost, not a daily essential. The key is choosing the right type for what your skin needs that day.
The three types
- Sheet masks — a quick hit of hydration and soothing actives in 15 minutes.
- Clay masks — draw out excess oil and decongest; best on oily areas.
- Overnight masks — a richer layer that works while you sleep.
How to use
Apply to clean skin. For a soothing sheet mask, leave on 15 minutes, then press in the remaining essence — no need to rinse. Follow with moisturiser.
